Volunteer

At ATM we have a fantastic team of volunteers who give up their time to help us, fulfilling a wide range of Front of House roles, including greeting our visitors, supervising exhibitions, leading tours and lending a hand at special events.

Some volunteers come in once a week, but others just help out whenever they can. They play a vital role at The Lightbox and are fundamental to our success and sustainability.

How can I volunteer for ATM?

Each year, we offer a number of volunteering opportunities, please check our jobs section. Once you have submitted your application, we will contact you with details of the selection process. 

What happens after I applied to volunteer?

Once you’ve signed up with us and provided your contact details, we'll be in touch to discuss next steps to start your role and plan in a welcome session.

How are we making volunteering safe? 

We’ve reviewed all of our practices through a risk assessment process, in line with Government Guidance. This helps ensure we protect our teams, customers, contractors and visitors.

I need a visa to volunteer in the United Kingdom; can ATM support my visa?

ATM is not able to support individuals who need visas to come to the UK to volunteer. ATM cannot support volunteer visas, as we do not have the correct licence to do so.
