Open-Minded Dialogue is a monthly community-focused platform that enables and facilitates a cohesive environment for meaningful dialogue in addition to sharing recommendations and solutions in order to overcome the challenges faced by the community. Since its inception in 2010, we have engaged closer to 10,000 participants, discussing a wide range of subjects, focusing on social taboos and key issues that are critical for development and social cohesion. Some of the themes have included Somali Identity, Mental Health, Tribalism, Somali Women in Politics, Youth Violence, Hate Crime, Domestic Violence, Employment, Entrepreneurship, Extremism and Radicalisation and many more.
