Kayd Open Talk: an evening with Nuruddin Farah.
Kayd Somali Arts & Culture in partnership with Royal African Society invites you to the second Kayd Open Talk with Nuruddin Farah and the launch of his new novel Hiding in plain sight on Friday 29 May, 7:30pm at SOAS.
Nuruddin Farah will discuss the role of culture in Somali identity and what does it mean to be Somali. We’re also excited to be launching his latest title Hiding in plain sight, a modern-day story which examines how war and political unrest has created a nation of refugees, published by OnWorldPublishing .
Kayd Open Talk is a platform for Somali artists and activists to address current issues facing the Somali community. These talks are comprehensive presentations in the form of a lecture and invites scholars to articulate their thoughts and ideas on their specialised fields.
Come along, join in the discussion and most importantly have your book signed by Nuruddin Farah himself.
